Oregon's season-opening victory showed it has an array of options in the backfield.
What it didn't do was provide much of a showcase for starting running back Tony Brooks-James, as the senior rushed for 27 yards on five attempts, fewer than the carries of teammates Justin Herbert (six), freshman Travis Dye (seven), sophomore Darrian Felix (eight) and redshirt freshman CJ Verdell (13) during the 24th-ranked Ducks' 58-24 win over Bowling Green.
Brooks-James also caught one pass for 53 yards and averaged 20 yards on his three kickoff returns.
"We do feel good about the fact that a lot of guys did touch the ball because those guys have earned playing time," coach Mario Cristobal said Monday.
