Oregon women’s basketball picked up an important road win yesterday, as they defeated the #16 Michigan State Spartans 63-59.
The Ducks did just enough in the first three periods to weather a fourth quarter shooting slump against an expected MSU comeback bid, and get their first win of the season over a ranked team. (Oregon had an early season win over then #12 Baylor, but the Bears are currently ranked #30).
For lack of a better phrase, Oregon came out swinging from tipoff and punched the Spartans squarely in the bracket. The Ducks were more physical than MSU.
