EUGENE -- Like the Pac-12's coaches, the media picked Oregon women's basketball to win the conference this season.
It is the first time the Ducks, who are coming off winning their first Pac-12 Tournament title and third regular-season crown last season, have taken the top spot in the preseason poll, in which they received 259 points and 19 first-place votes.
Stanford was second with 237 points and two first-place votes and Oregon State was third with 218 points and one first-place vote.
Oregon's Sabrina Ionescu, a unanimous selection, and Ruthy Hebard were among the five players named to the preseason All-Pac-12 team, the second straight year they each received the honor.
