EUGENE, Ore. - The Oregon softball team won its 18th straight game, matching the program record, and swept Stanford with an 8-0 run-rule victory on Saturday at Jane Sanders Stadium.
The Ducks matched the previous school record for consecutive wins, which was set in 2007. Oregon improved to 25-4 (6-0 Pac-12) with the victory, their second shutout of the series. The Ducks outscored the Cardinal 21-2 in the series.
In addition to its overall win streak, Oregon has won 13 straight games against Stanford.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Oregon took an early lead in the second inning when Lauren Lindvall drove in a pair with a two-out double to right.
