After Oregon baseball was drummed out of the Pac-12 tournament with nary a win, it looked like the Ducks might have been on the path of their softball counterparts. But unlike softball’s misfortune of landing in Norman, baseball found themselves in the Santa Barbara Regional, which was an ideal placement for the Ducks’ aspirations to advance in the tournament. All four of the teams in Santa Barbara - Oregon, Fresno State, San Diego, and UC Santa Barbara - were evenly enough matched that they all had a theoretical shot at getting to the Super Regional.
