On Sunday, the Ducks landed 4-star forward Kavell Bigby-Williams, who is transferring from Gillette College in Wyoming. Today, we got another idea on just how big of a splash the Ducks made by bringing in Bigby-Williams as he was named the Spalding NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Player of the Year.
This past season, Bigby-Williams averaged 16.8 points, 13.6 rebounds and 5.9 blocks per game for Gillette.
This marks the second year in a row Oregon has brought in the reigning NJCAA Player of the Year. Last year, the Ducks landed Chris Boucher, who won the award after averaging 22.
