The last meet that Hayward Field hosted was the Olympic Track and Field Trials last year, when Devon Allen sprinted to the finish line amidst cheers, the loudest of the entire ten days of the Trials leading up to the Summer Olympics in Rio De Janiero.
Coming off a second knee surgery, Devon Allen has been working to get back to his legs back after suffering another injury following his fifth place finish in Rio. The experience has helped Allen become better. According to GoDucks.com, he has been rehabbing in Eugene and will finish his Business Degree in June.
