EUGENE -- Oregon's regular season finale comes with the added intensity of the Civil War rivalry and also the challenge of containing yet another potent rusher.
Oregon State's Jermar Jefferson has been an absolute force for the Beavers. He leads all freshmen nationally with 1,316 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns and has had seven 100-yard games, including two 200-yard games.
"Obviously the back has garnered a lot of attention, and rightfully so," Oregon coach Mario Cristobal said. "As a freshman he's widely considered one of the best freshmen in the country. The offensive line has done a tremendous job for him.
