On Thursday night, former Duck, now pro Puma sprinter Jenna Prandini won the Bowerman Award, presented annually to the nation's top track & field athlete. The award is named after legendary Oregon track & field head coach Bill Bowerman.
This year, Prandini scored 49 points between the NCAA indoor and outdoor track & field championships in June at Hayward Field, leading the Oregon women to their first outdoor title in three decades.
Prandini went on to win the 200 at the USATF outdoor championships this past June at Hayward Field, earning a spot on Team USA at the 2015 IAAF World Championships in Beijing.
