Death, taxes and the Oregon softball team in the super regionals. Those have become the three certainties in life as the Ducks defeated Baylor 8-1 on Sunday, advancing to their seventh straight super regional appearance in the NCAA softball tournament.
Cheridan Hawkins earned the win, going 4.2 innings while giving up just three hits while walking three and striking out four. Megan Kleist pitched the final 2.1 innings, giving up one run on one hit while striking out three batters.
After the Ducks jumped out to a 2-0 lead, Baylor loaded up the bases with just one out in the second inning.
