The Oregon Ducks (28-3, 16-2) overcame their injuries and ailments to beat the Arizona Wildcats (18-14, 7-11) in the PAC-12 Tournament quarterfinals by a score of 77-63. Arizona’s Aari McDonald scored her eighth 30-point game and four of Oregon’s starters scored in double digits.
FIRST HALF
Moments after Satou Sabally scored the game’s opening points, a fast break layup, Aari McDonald answered with a layup of her own. The 2-2 tie would be the first and last time the Wildcats caught the Ducks’ lead.
Ionescu and Sabally had a combined 22 points in the first half while McDonald kept her team in the game by scoring 18 of the Wildcats’ 28 points before halftime.
