The Ducks played without junior guard Taylor Chavez due to family matters, and were also down superstar Sedona Prince and freshman Sydney Parrish. Fortunately, the Ducks were able to maintain their high-level of play by utilizing their talented roster.
Six different Oregon players finished in double-digit scoring: Taylor Mikesell with 16 points, Nyara Sabally with 15 points, Te-Hina Paopao with 14 points, Erin Boley with 13 points, Jaz Shelley with 13 points, and freshman Kylee Watson with a career-high 11 points to lead the Duck bench.
It took awhile for either team to score, but once Shelley drained a triple at the 7:20 mark in the opening quarter Oregon took an early lead that would not relinquish, racing out to an 11-2 lead to set the tone.
