Oregon re-establishes running game in win over UCLA

EUGENE -- After two weeks of abysmal results on the ground, Oregon's vaunted running game got back on track against the lowly UCLA rush defense.

CJ Verdell had 90 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries, 12 of which came on first downs, to lead the Ducks to 200 rushing yards and three scores in a 42-21 win over the Bruins at Autzen Stadium on Saturday.

"We made a decision: The guys, we talked about it and it was about enough is enough; we are going to put our foot in the ground and we are going to recommit ourselves to being the physical team that we started the season as," Oregon coach Mario Cristobal said.
