After some expected week one craziness, the AP voters had a lot to think about. Here’s how Oregon and the 24 other top programs stack up heading into the second week of the season.
Oregon Football’s 58-24 victory over Bowling Green must have been looked on favorably by the Associated Press. So much so, that the esteemed fellowship of media members concluded that the Ducks are no longer the 24th best team in the nation. Instead they are the 23rd. Here’s the official rankings heading into week two, per the Associated Press:
- Alabama
- Clemson
- Georgia
- Ohio State
- Wisconsin
- Oklahoma
- Auburn
- Notre Dame
- Washington
- Stanford
- LSU
- Virginia Tech
- Penn State
- West Virginia
- Michigan State
- TCU
- USC
- Mississippi State
- UCF
- Boise State
- Michigan
- Miami (FL)
- Oregon
- South Carolina
- Florida
There you have it: Oregon is 23rd, sandwiched between Miami (FL), who got their teeth kicked in against LSU, and South Carolina, last week’s leader of the “Others Receiving Votes” category.
