Six-time NCAA champion Raeven Rogers is leaving the University of Oregon to run professionally for Nike.
Rogers made the announcement Friday on social media.
She won five NCAA titles in the 800 meters, two indoors and three outdoors. As a UO junior last year she set the collegiate 800 record of 1 minute, 59.10 seconds, breaking the mark of 1:59.11 that Suzy Favor Hamilton had held for 27 years.
In June, Rogers won her third outdoor NCAA championship and anchored the Ducks to victory in the 4x400 relay. Oregon's first-place finish in the relay clinched the NCAA team title and gave the Ducks the triple crown -- NCAA championships in cross country, indoor and outdoor track in the same academic year.
