EUGENE -- Oregon's linebacker corps will be without its top backup for several weeks.
As feared, backup Isaac Slade-Matautia will be out for multiple weeks after suffering a shoulder injury against Washington State last week.
"We're going to sit him, at the very least, a couple of weeks," Oregon coach Mario Cristobal said. "We had some tests run on him. We thought he would be OK, but we're not going to be able to have him."
Earlier in the week Cristobal said Slade-Matautia, a redshirt-freshman, was undergoing an MRI and X-rays.
Slade-Matautia has 20 tackles with two for loss and a pass breakup this season.
