While the next entry in Nintendo's "Super Smash Bros." franchise doesn't hit store shelves until Dec. 7, Oregonians will get a peek at the brawler when the company brings it to Autzen Stadium in Eugene Sept. 22.
Nintendo on Wednesday announced it's taking "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" on the road for a college tailgate tour that starts in the Beaver State when Oregon takes on Stanford and ends Nov. 24 at the Michigan-Ohio State game in Columbus.
The event is free and will feature six game stations where players will taken on each other as Nintendo characters, from classic heroes like Mario and Link to newer entrants like the Inklings from the "Splatoon" series and villagers from "Animal Crossing.
