EUGENE -- Oregon freshman guard Will Richardson, who had been sidelined with a foot injury and wasn't expected to play in Tuesday's season opener, checked in late in the first half.
Richardson, who missed Oregon's closed scrimmage with Kansas State and exhibition with Western Oregon on Nov. 1, came off the bench with 1:28 to go in the first half at Matthew Knight Arena.
Last week, Oregon coach Dana Altman said Richardson, the No. 46 ranked recruit in the 247Sports Composite in last year's class, would be "out for a while" with an albeit non-serious injury.
Turns out "a while" was only a week, though it's not immediately clear when Richardson's playing time can become more substantial.
