Oregon Football: Justin Herbert Suffers Broken Collar Bone In Loss, Expected To Return in 2017

It was a string of events that no one hopes for. Over three consecutive series, Oregon lost three key starters. including Quarterback Justin Herbert. The diagnosis is rough, but there may be a silver lining.

Herbert stepped back and ran forward for seven yards into the endzone for a touchdown and was hit from both sides by California Defenders as he dove for the score. That play is where Oregon Football changed. Herbert was out for the rest of the game and would soon be followed by Royce Freeman in the locker room.

The Oregon QB broke his collarbone on the play and not expected to miss significant time.
