It was late in the game last Saturday that Herbert sustained the possible concussion. He, along with Wide Receiver Dillon Mitchell have been in concussion protocol since Monday. Cristobal said the timeline for both differed slightly and his Wide Receiver should be out of protocol later in the day on Wednesday. It is not known if either will start or play against the UCLA Bruins on Saturday.
Cristobal also said that he is treating Herbert’s Protocol as if it were his ‘own son’ in determining along with him and the medical staff when the best time would be for him to return to the field.
