Oregon Ducks women's basketball forward Mallory McGwire announced Wednesday that she will transfer to Boise State.
The 6-foot-5 McGwire, a sophomore from Reno, is the fourth Ducks player to transfer since a season-ending loss to Notre Dame in the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight, following sophomore Sierra Campisano, and freshmen Aina Ayuso and Anneli Maley. McGwire played the biggest role among the departures.
She was one of UO's first players off the bench and averaged 15.6 minutes per game, shooting 51 percent thanks to a dependable mid-range jumper and averaged 4.9 points per game. In January, because of an injury to guard Lexi Bando, McGwire moved into the starting lineup; she played in all 38 of Oregon's games, starting 19.
