EUGENE -- Facing elimination, the Oregon Ducks needed some postseason heroics, and who better to deliver than the hometown kid, Lauren Burke.
The Marist High School grad and Ducks true freshman, who earned her first postseason start on Friday, continued her torrid postseason hitting with a 2-for-3, two-RBI game to help Oregon stave off elimination against Kentucky, 6-1, in Game 2 of the Eugene Super Regional of the NCAA softball tournament on Friday at Jane Sanders Stadium.
Her two-RBI single in the top of the fourth scored three because of an error and gave Oregon a 3-0 lead.
