EUGENE -- The Oregon Ducks are taking a spring football practice on the road for a second straight year.
The Ducks will practice April 7 at Portland's Franklin High School, first-year coach Mario Cristobal said Tuesday, one day before the Ducks hold the first of 15 spring practices. The southeast Portland school reopened in the fall after a massive remodel made possible by a 2012 bond passed by city voters.
The practice will be open to the public as a means of drumming up fan interest in the state's largest market. Cristobal said other workouts will be open, as well, but didn't specify dates.
