EUGENE -- For a fleeting moment Thursday night at PK Park, the steps to success were right in front of the Oregon Ducks.
They had two on and Oregon State ace Luke Hemlich was laboring when Oregon left fielder Taylor Travess drew a full count in the bottom of the sixth.
The Ducks had been in this place just an inning before, only to score a lone run when Jake Bennett was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. Spencer Steer followed by grounding into a double play to end the inning with the Ducks trailing 3-1.
