Entering the weekend, the talk was if Oregon would be on the outside looking in at Super Regionals. They needed to land a Top 8 seed to host potentially the next two weekends and before facing Utah they came in at 9 in the RPI. On Sunday night they learned they were the 5th overall seed in the NCAA Tournament and will host the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Jane Sanders Stadium starting on Friday.
The teams coming to Eugene to play in the first round, which is double elimination, include Baylor, Long Beach State, and Fordham for the four team pod.
