EUGENE -- Miranda Elish tamed the Great Danes on Thursday in Oregon's first game of the 2018 NCAA softball tournament, a 4-0 Ducks victory over Albany in the Eugene Regional at Jane Sanders Stadium.
The sophomore struck out a postseason career-high 14 in her first postseason complete game. She allowed four hits and walked none to pick up her fourth postseason victory of her career.
Oregon (48-7) will play Drake at 3 p.m. Friday, while Albany (32-15) will play an elimination game against BYU at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Already leading 1-0, Oregon broke things open in the fifth.
