EUGENE -- The first boos of Oregon's football season arrived less than 12 minutes after it started.
They were a reaction to the 24th-ranked Ducks' sloppy start of coach Mario Cristobal's home opener: missed tackles, dropped passes, mishandled snaps and burned timeouts when coaches couldn't get the right personnel onto the field. UO's Pistol offense shot itself in the cleat with a pair of three-and-outs to start. Within 10 minutes, Bowling Green led by 10 points at Autzen Stadium.
The Ducks will see all of that during film review Sunday and no doubt cringe. But they'll also see the furious 15 minutes that followed, as Oregon scored 37 consecutive points to win its 14th consecutive home opener, 58-24.
