Seniors Sam Prakel and Sabrina Southerland were given performer of the year awards Sunday by the University of Oregon track and field program at the team's year-end banquet.
Prakel was the 2018 Pac-12 title in this year's conference championships and was third in the mile at the 2018 NCAA Indoor Championships.
Southerland was this year's NCAA indoor champion in the 800 meters. She also won the 800 at the recent Pac-12 Championships.
Prakel and Southerland were two of a number of UO athletes honored at the banquet.
Lance Deal, retiring as director of track and field venues and program support, received an outstanding service award.
