The second-ranked Oregon Ducks belted three homers in the sixth inning and run-ruled the No. 24 California Golden Bears 13-0 on Thursday afternoon in the opener of their three-game softball series in Berkeley.
Oregon's Miranda Elish (19-1) pitched a two-hit shutout and struck out three without allowing a walk.
The Ducks (45-7, 19-3 Pac-12) entered the sixth already leading 6-0, then added seven more runs on eight hits to finish off the Golden Bears.
DJ Sanders hit a three-run homer to left field, and later pinch hitter April Utecht matched Sanders with a three-run shot of her own to center.
