OKLAHOMA CITY -- Unlike Thursday, the No. 1 seed Oregon Ducks' bats were silenced by No. 5 seed Washington during their 6-2 loss in the winners' bracket game of the Women's College World Series.
The Huskies (51-8) and Ducks (54-8) spent the first half of the game trying to find space for the ball to land. Oregon's Megan Kleist and Washington's Gabbie Plain pitched three hitless innings, and carried a scoreless game into the fifth.
In the fifth, Oregon's Lauren Lindvall made the first hard contact of the game with a single up the middle.
