Oregon Ducks persevere in nasty conditions to sweep the Pepsi Team Invitational

EUGENE a The Oregon Ducks didn't offer on any excuses on a cold, wet, windy Saturday at Hayward Field.

And, they didn't need to.

The Ducks swept the team titles at the Pepsi Team Invitational, winning both the men's and women's competition by double digits before a chilled crowd of 3,113.

The Oregon women piled up 185 points to win going away. BYU and Washington tied for second with 152. Washington had 112.

The UO men scored 171, followed by BYU with 160, Washington State with 157 and Washington with 153.

After seeing the forecast, UO coach Robert Johnson set the tone in a meeting earlier in the week.
