EUGENE -- Oregon's 33-10 loss to Washington State wasn't completely because Justin Herbert was out with an injury, Willie Taggart kept saying.
The offensive line could have been better. Same with the running game. The defense could have made some more plays, UO's coach said. Not to mention the fact that several players, like Charles Nelson and Dillon Mitchell, were out with injuries, Taggart noted.
But three times during the postgame press conference, Taggart meant to say the name of Braxton Burmeister and instead, "Justin" came out.
It seemed like everyone at Oregon was still adjusting to the situation Herbert's fractured collarbone has thrown them into.
