EUGENE -- The No. 20 Oregon Ducks cleared the decks for Pac-12 play by pushing aside San Jose State 35-22 Saturday before 50,049 in Autzen Stadium.
This was by no means a perfect performance by Oregon (3-0), perhaps looking ahead to next week's showdown with No. 9 Stanford (3-0) at Autzen.
The Ducks had trouble establishing a running game. UO quarterback Justin Herbert and his receivers struggled to get onto the same page.
But the UO defense mostly held things together, unleashing a ferocious pass rush on the San Jose State quarterbacks and intercepting two passes.
