The University of Oregon fired Mark Helfrich last week after four seasons. It marked the first time in 40 years, the Oregon Ducks have fired their head football coach.
Helfrich finished with a record of 37-16 over four seasons but the Ducks went 4-8 this season, less than two years after reaching the national championship game.
All eyes are now on Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens, who is heading the search for the Ducks next football coach. Mullens will be working with a handful of high-powered boosters and the Parker Executive Search.
