As Oregon and Washington State approached kickoff the rain fell at Autzen Stadium, but it subsided to a mostly cloudy sky just time for kickoff. The Cougars began the game on Offense and went right to work with Luke Falk Starting for Washington State. Falk led the team down the field with a pass to Robert Craycraft followed by two running plays that appeared to catch Oregon off guard. Five plays later and Falk found Gabe Marks in the end zone for a touchdown giving WSU a 7-0 lead. The Oregon Defensive Secondary appeared sluggish as Falk completed several long passes down field.
