Oregon Ducks Dropped By Cal 12-2 In Series Opener, Bears Put Up 21 Hits

The Oregon Ducks welcomed the California Golden Bears to PK Park. Cal went 7-1 on their most recent home stand and came to Eugene with plenty of momentum. George Horton saw his team on the opposite side losing two of three in Washington two weeks ago and last week losing two games at Notre Dame and Michigan State. Oregon would look to get back on track against Cal, but the series would not be easy.

Oregon Starter Cole Irvin gave up five runs in the top of the first inning, but Oregon would fight back with two runs of their own in the bottom of the frame.
