We're a week and a half into Willie Taggart's tenure as Oregon's football coach, and what's not to like?
Taggart has been a breath of fresh air since being named to succeed Mark Helfrich, and introducing himself to Oregon fans in an enthusiastic news conference.
He already has shown himself to be a relentless recruiter. He has brought in the respected Jim Leavitt from Colorado to run his defense.
He met with Andrew Greif and Tyson Alger of The Oregonian/OregonLive.com yesterday, and promised a more open relationship with the fans and media, and a no-excuses approach to team rules and player discipline.
