After beating No. 11 Washington in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 tournament, Oregon Ducks coach Kelly Graves believed his team was playing its best basketball of the season.
But he wasn't entirely sure how his young, freshman-laden roster would handle the program's first NCAA tournament showing since 2005.
After surviving No. 7 seed Temple 71-70 and stunning No. 2 seed Duke 74-65 to advance to Oregon's first-ever Sweet 16 appearance, Graves was at a loss for words.
"We've grown," he said. "We've really grown. It's incredible."
That development became clear to Graves in the opening minutes of the first quarter against Duke on Monday.
