Oregon Ducks blank Portland Pilots at Joe Etzel Field

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Five Oregon pitchers combined on a three-hitter as Oregon held off Portland 1-0 at Joe Etzel Field on Tuesday night.

How it Happened: Isaiah Carranza (1-0) pitched five innings in his second start of the season allowing just one hit and a walk while striking out a career-best four in the win. Kenyon Yovanpicked up his Pac-12 Conference leading ninth save. Parker Kelly, Cooper Stiles and Connor Zwetsch all threw a scoreless inning as the five Ducks' pitchers combined to fan 10 Pilots.

Oregon (16-6) got all the offense it would need in the third inning against the Pilots (4-20).
