EUGENE -- It was picture day inside of Matthew Knight Arena and Payton Pritchard found his spot front and center.
It made sense from a marketing standpoint. Around Pritchard were scores of unfamiliar faces. Gone were program stalwarts like Jordan Bell and Dillon Brooks and in their place were players like, well, hold on, let's check the roster....Troy Brown, Abu Kigab and Elijah Brown.
Those might all be household names in Eugene in a few months, but on a Friday early in October, Pritchard was the known commodity and at least he might catch a fan or two's eye.
