The Oregon Ducks Baseball team started 2016 with a win on Friday night thanks in part to seven solid innings from Starting Pitcher Cole Irvin and Offensive plays from new combers and veterans.
Irvin scattered six hits through seven innings of work allowing just two Aztecs to get to second base and had nine strikeouts in the first win of the season for George Horton in his sixth season. Freshman Travis Moniot had the Ducks first double of the season and scored the Oregon Ducks first run in the 3rd inning. He also had an RBI in the 9th.
