George Horton watched his team start the three game series at Washington on a good note, with a run in the first three innings against the Huskies. It all started with Austin Grebeck getting on base to start the game. Tim Susnara brought him home to give Oregon a 3-1 lead into the third inning. Washington bounced back to take a 5-3 lead through the bottom of the 5th. It was a scrach and claw game that in the end saw Oregon fall following a 3- run home run by Gabe Matuszak in the bottom of the ninth inning sending Oregon to a 9-6 loss.
