Oregon Ducks are second nationally in the latest women's national college track rankings

The University of Oregon women's team moved up a spot in this week's national college track rankings, released Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

The Ducks used a series of strong performances at meets in Tucson and Corvallis to attain the No. 2 ranking.

UO runners Lauren Rain Williams, Sabrina Southerland and Alaysha Johnson posted the fastest college times of the week in the 200 and 1,500 meters, and 100 hurdles respectively.

The UO men lost ground, falling out of the top. The Ducks are 11th in the men's rankings.
