Australian punter Tom Snee committed to the Oregon Ducks on Sunday and will be in uniform in Eugene when fall camp opens later this summer.
Snee is a late addition to the 2018 class who can compete immediately for playing time against incumbent sophomore Adam Stack and junior Blake Maimone. In a Facebook post announcing his commitment, Snee said he is joining UO on scholarship.
Stack averaged 38.4 yards per punt last season, 10th-best in the Pac-12, and the Ducks as a whole ranked second-worst in the conference with a net punting average of 34.4 yards. Ray Woodie, the assistant coach in charge of special teams last season -- he also helped coach outside linebackers -- left in December to follow coach Willie Taggart to Florida State.
