Oregon Ducks 4-star pledge to trolling fan: 'Not going to argue with ignorance bro'

The combination of social media and a growing audience for recruiting news has made celebrities out of the nation's top high school athletes.

And given the nature of discourse on social media platforms, fans often take that access to players too far.

On Wednesday, the Oregon Ducks football program was found to have committed an NCAA violation, "...when it impermissibly displayed personalized statistics of visiting recruits during unofficial and official visits on an electronic board in the football facility during the fall of 2016. Oregon's compliance department approved the display, but was later contacted by the Pac-12 and self-reported the violation.
