Oregon distance ace Edward Cheserek retained his spot on the 10-athlete men's watch list for The Bowerman.
The Bowerman is awarded annually to the top male and top female athletes in college track and field. The latest men's watch list was announced Thursday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
Cheserek, a 17-time NCAA champion, is a three-time finalist for the award, and never has won.
The UO senior is headed to the Payton Jordan Invitational on Friday at Stanford, where is looking for a fast time in the 5,000 meters.
