Oregon baseball finished the weekend series against Rhode Island with a very Oregon-y rain delay, followed by a rare run rule to defeat the Rams, 15-2.
The Ducks brought Will Sanford to the mound for the start. Sanford had a rough start, and gave up and walked three batters, with the third walk coming with the bases loaded and accounting for Rhode Island’s first score. After that, however, Sanford found his control and struck out the next three batters to close out the top of the frame.
