TUCSON, Ariz -- Already stretched thin by injuries, Oregon's defensive personnel was pushed even further in Saturday's loss at Arizona.
Starting defensive end Austin Faoliu did not travel due to the ankle injury that has limited his participation in practice for a month, starting linebacker Kaulana Apelu did not start but played and had three tackles and starting linebacker La'Mar Winston Jr. was held out for the first half due to a violation of team rules, according to coach Mario Cristobal.
"He was held out to the second half and played some special teams," Cristobal said of Winston, who did not record a stat in the 44-15 loss.
