BERKELEY -- With rare exception, each time No. 24 Cal tried to claw back into the game against No. 19 Oregon on Saturday the Ducks defense came up with a crucial stop or takeaway.
Oregon forced five turnovers, including a fumble return touchdown by La'Mar Winston Jr. and two interceptions each by Ugochukwu Amadi and Jevon Holland, one of which was returned for a touchdown, in a 42-24 win over the Golden Bears at Memorial Stadium.
"In real critical moments, the defense stood up and did a great job," Oregon coach Mario Cristobal said. "There's no bigger momentum swing than a pick-six, anything of that nature.
