The USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships resume this morning in Sacramento.
Day 3's first final, the men's discus, gets underway at 10:15 a.m.
It was a good show yesterday, despite blistering temperatures.
The local professionals had nice performances, with the Bowerman Track Club's Shelby Houlihan powering to victory in the 5,000 meters, just ahead of U.S. record-holder Shannon Rowbury of the Nike Oregon Project.
In the men's 5,000, the U.S. Army's Paul Chelimo showed his heels to the field while winning the 5,000. The Oregon Project's Eric Jenkins and the Bowerman TC's Ryan Hill went 2-3.
